PhD Project
Gustav Landauer as a Jewish Intellectual (Working Title)
My dissertation project aims to situate Gustav Landauer (1870-1919) in Jewish intellectual and cultural history. The intellectual space in which Landauer moved, was received, and had an impact will be reconstructed. The aim of the work is to trace and uncover the traces (loosely based on Gadamer) of Landauer's works and activities. Thus an existing, but so far hardly noticed and not concisely described, line of his life and work within Jewish intellectual and cultural history will become visible.
