Workshop “Children in Crises VIII”
The eighth international workshop “Children in Crises VIII. Children after War, Holocaust and Genocide” initiated by the Western Galilee College Akko and the MMZ will take place on February 12th and 13th, 2024 at the Moses Mendelssohn Center in Potsdam. Historians, (social) educators, medical doctors, violence and conflict researchers, and civil society actors from four different countries (Israel, Germany, the Netherlands and Poland) are involved. The topics range from the care of child Holocaust survivors after 1945 in Holland and Cyprus to the support of today's Ukrainian (refugee) children in Poland to forms of therapy for Israeli children who survived the Hamas attack on October 7, 2023.
