Richard Rosenthal Collection
Richard Rosenthal (1929-1999) was born in Hüsingen in Baden on April 14, 1929. He emigrated to the USA with his parents in 1939. Rosenthal studied at the Hebrew Union College in Cincinnati. In 1956, he assumed the position of a rabbi in Tacoma, Washington. He died in Tacoma on March 3, 1999. It was his wish to give his books to Jewish institutions in England and Germany after his death.
In 1999, the Moses Mendelssohn Center received about 500 volumes of these books, mainly literature on religious history.
