Eike Geisel Collection
Eike Geisel (1945-1997) was born on June 1, 1945 in Stuttgart and studied Sociology in Bonn, Cologne and Berlin. Until 1981 he was a university lecturer, then a freelance author, journalist and translator. He was particularly concerned with a socio-critical examination of the German past, the peace movement as well as the German left and its relationship to Israel. He died in Berlin on August 6, 1997.
His collection of approximately 2,300 volumes from his estate consists mainly of titles on German-Jewish history and regional history as well as on antisemitism research.
